Lucy Lovehandles: I was born in a little village in England, the only daughter of Ysabella and Maurice Lovehandles. My father's family had been a noble one, but fallen on hard times, and it has been my fate to have to make my own way in life, unassisted by those advantages which a fine fortune might bring. Fortunately, my not inconsiderable artistic talents (and, I suspect, some of my finer physical attributes) brought me to the notice of dear Sir Cecil, who was even then (although unaware of it himself) quite desperately in need of feminine assistance. I did the right thing, and filled that yawning gap for him, and I can assure you that he has not regretted it for one moment
